Mankind, Humanity, the Human figure was my reason to sign up to the academy. I wanted to understand his features. The academy in Mons Belgium offered just the right way for me. Lucky I was.

My portraits do not want to embellish, they do not want to distort either. My portraits are the interpretation of exsting pictures, yet I leave the possibility to the viewers to see want they want. The interpretation cames after the work...

I paint the portrait on a piece of cardboard and then I cut it out with a jig saw.

That way I can chose a background which suits the portrait.

At best it can be changed at will.
